Possible Internship Tasks and Responsibilities:
 
The Sales Representative (SR) Internship role aims to train and give the intern direct experience in a relaxed B2B sales environment. They will be responsible for researching and qualifying potential companies the Host can offer their services to.
 
This intern will work closely with the Managing Director to identify markets and targets for business development. The main function of this internship role is for the intern to find new clients and set up meetings. The meetings will be attended by the Managing Director (the intern can also attend but this is not mandatory).
 
The intern will gain experience in the day to day operation of a sales role within the corporate sector. We will provide the intern with all the support they require in order to perform this role. This includes phone scripts, email templates, and sales training.
 
Specific Duties include:

  • Researching potential clients online
  • Developing new business and identifying opportunities
  • Calling and emailing potential leads to set up meetings between them and the Managing Director
  • Following up new leads and referrals
  • Manage sales leads, contacts and pipeline using salesforce.com
  • Identifying verticals where sales conversion is more probable
  • Develop sales materials, contracts (from template) and proposals
  • Reception – servicing and answering phone calls, greeting clients and guest upon their arrival to the office
  • How to research new business and qualify leads
  • Sales methods and sales management
  • Account management and client services within an Agency environment
  • How to write proposals and prepare business contracts
  • On the job experience managing clients and a sales pipeline
