Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • The candidate should be able to self-motivate and be efficient with time management
  • Professionalism is needed for within the office as well as encounters with clients
  • The intern must be extremely creative in order to come up with ideas that have not been utilized
  • The intern should have a strong interest in Marketing and Public Relations

Possible Internship Tasks and Responsibilities:

For this exciting opportunity the host employer is looking for a creative, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can take responsibility for his/her own work and assist with PR case studies, promotional work, office administration and marketing. They are ideally looking for a PR, Marketing, or Communications intern who can add fresh views and value to this small office of experienced professionals. The business wants someone who will think outside of the box in order to create strategies that will stand out from other PR and Marketing firms. They also need a candidate who can turn brainstorming into reality by fostering they ideas thought up by themselves and other members. The successful candidate could potentially assist with one or more projects (depending on skills and experience):

  • improving the design and development of the organization’s website
  • developing a communications strategy targeting new media sources
  • creating/improving a contacts database for the organization and
    promotions
  • designing and conducting a survey of publication recipients (to test their effectiveness and position in the market)
  • organizing events and assist with marketing campaigns
  • Since new clients are constantly signing up, job descriptions will change depending on the business’s needs. The intern will have the opportunity to utilize existing skills while also gaining more knowledge and experience.
