They greatly support marketing and communication students by providing opportunities to gain practical experiences in one of Australia’s leading arts organizations
The interns required skill set:
  • Bachelor degree in Hospitality and/or Tourism
  • Some experience in Events Management
  • Social Media
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written skills)
  • Creative thinking
  • Positive /friendly attitude
  • The ability to organize and meet deadlines
A list of tasks the intern may assist with:
Hotel Partnerships Internship roles involves working closely with the Marketing manager and partner hotels to discuss, plan and deliver:

  • Partner hotels contracted marketing benefits eg Facebook promotions, e-news mentions
  • Festival promotions, competitions and packages through hotels’ and other 3rd party
  • Websites and communications channels
  • Welcome packs for Festival package purchasers
  • Electronic toolkit as a resource for partner hotels
  • In-hotel activation’s eg window displays, videos for foyer screens etc
  • Print distribution and display in partner hotels
  • Engaging content for 3rd party tourism/hotel website and EDMs
