Brief Description Of Organisation & Brand 
Our client is a boutique corporate and commercial law firm with expertise in commercial law, dispute resolution, international trade, transport and shipping law, property and employment. Their aim is to foster a friendly, driven and collaborative working environment where the employees strive to give the best customer service possible.
The interns required skill set:

Both HR the internship must be part of the intern’s course requirement.

Looking for people who are resourceful and want to become engrossed in the role, get the job done and learn as much as possible,  lateral thinkers who are interested in putting into practice what they have learned in their course work. They should have a good command of English and be easy to get on with.

A list of tasks the intern may assist with:
HR
1. Finalising policies in conjunction with my employment lawyer.
2. Depending on when they will commence they might assist in recruiting a new lawyer – possibly assist with writing advert, advertising job, Interview process etc
3. Assist with settling in new legal staff,
4. Review and update our induction manual;
5. Prepare a training register and assist with organising our staff continuing education;
6. Help get staff records in order;
7. Review and consider new HR and Payroll technology and assist in making improvements with HR.

Generally all of their staff including interns gain practical experience working in a collaborative environment with professional staff who are willing to give their time to train people are a keen to learn and contribute.

  • You will gain experience working in a professional services firm.
  • You will have the ability to discover what they enjoy doing the most and what their strengths are and build their confidence in their skills and abilities.
  • Specifically in HR – Experience working with the director who has had experience working in recruitment.
  • Experience working with employment lawyers such that they will gain first hand knowledge of workplace legal issues faced by companies, how contracts are developed and the issues to consider.
  • Experience working on policies in conjunction with an employment lawyer.
  • Experience working in a small business that is growing and seeks best practice in all areas of the business.
  • Possible experience recruiting staff including assisting with the interviewing process.
